Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では汚染空気暴露に伴う健康影響を可視化するin silico人体モデルを開発する.本年度は2018年度,2019年度の研究成果を基に,以下の個別課題に取り組んだ.
(1)建築空間を対象としたCFDによる流れ場・温度場・湿度場の連成解析手法に,ガス状汚染物質を対象としたEuler-Euler系の濃度分布解析手法,エアロゾル状汚染物質を対象としたEuler-Lagrange系の数値解析手法を統合した総合的な空気環境解析手法の検討を行った.特に室内濃度分布予測の観点では壁面境界条件の設定が重要となることを確認した.その上で,in silico人体モデルを統合したケーススタディを実施した.
(2)ガス状汚染物質を対象としたEuler-Euler系の濃度分布解析手法を用い,電子煙草用加熱デバイスを用いた喫煙状況を模擬した暴露リスク解析を実施した.特に,近年一部の国で一般への解禁が進んでいるCannabis成分を対象として,喫煙者自身の経気道暴露であるFirst hand Exposure,吐出した汚染物質による室内空気汚染に起因する非喫煙者の経気道暴露・経皮暴露であるSecond hand exposureを連続して非定常解析する数値解析法を確立した.各種の化学物質を対象とした経気道暴露用PBPKモデル,経皮暴露用PBPKモデルを整備し,解析の計算負荷軽減と高速化に関する技術開発も行った.

Reason

当初の研究計画に従い,研究を推進している.特に研究成果の公表に関しては,2018年から2020年3月までの研究期間で,国際ジャーナル(SCI)に25報,日本建築学会環境系論文集等の和文査読付き論文に10報,国際会議プロシーディングスに30報として報告済みであり,この点では当初計画以上のペースで研究が進捗している.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

当初の研究計画に従い,誠実に研究を進める予定である.その一方,2019年末に中国武漢で発生が確認された新型コロナウイルス感染症(COVID19)は世界的に感染拡大し,2020年3月にはWHOにてパンデミックであるとの認識が示され,また我が国では2020年4月7日に緊急事態宣言が発令されるなど,非常に深刻な公衆衛生問題となっている.この喫緊の問題に対し,これまでの研究成果を基盤として,ウイルスを含む飛沫・飛沫核の経気道曝露予測と感染リスク評価手法への展開も意識して研究を推進する予定である.
