Outline of Final Research Achievements

Kampo is a traditional medicine derived from Chinese medicine and adapted to Japan's unique medical culture. Kampo-related medical books are mainly divided into Chinese medicine books and Japanese medicine books. Many manuscripts and lecture records that haven't been published are included in Japanese medicine books, then the comparison among their contents is difficult. We have developed a system that can efficiently search the texts transliterated from the medical books, and published it as a "Kampo text complex search database" on the website of the Medical History Research Department, Kitasato University Oriental Medicine Research Center. In the future, we will increase the number of listed texts and make it a convenient database for examining Japanese medical books.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
