Outline of Final Research Achievements

A philological study was conducted on the manuscript of Kitamura Kigin "Tsuginefu", a Kyoto guidebook in the 17th century. The texts of the Kyoto University Library collection and the Cabinet Library collection in the National Archives of Japan (172-0145) are similar at a fine level, and it is assumed that these two books are more similar to the manuscript written by Kitamura Kigin. It turned out that the comparison of these two books and the Cabinet Library collection (172-0150), National Diet Library collection is effective in reconstructing the text of "Tsuginefu". Together with the uninvestigated Mukyukai Kannarai Bunko Collection (3-1-2-5672) due to the circumstances of the holding building, it has become clear that these five manuscripts can be used to create a reprint of "Tsuginefu".

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

17世紀末の京都地誌（京都案内記）「菟芸泥赴」の国内に所蔵されている写本について、古い形態を持つ写本と後世の写本を判別するための指標が確認された。また、1914-1917年に出版された「京都叢書」でおこなわれた「菟芸泥赴」の翻刻の不備を訂正し、より北村季吟の執筆した「菟芸泥赴」に近い本文の翻刻を実現するための資料の整備がおこなわれた。
