Outline of Final Research Achievements

This research aimed to elucidate the information structures and focus markings of G|ui and G||ana, languages belonging to the Kalahari-Khoe language family. Although fieldwork was temporarily halted due to COVID-19, the research continued through online interviews and the digitization of recorded old materials. In the final year, fieldwork was resumed, and new data were collected and analyzed. This resulted in new insights into focus marking, word order, and discourse structures in these language.
