Outline of Annual Research Achievements	Goals for FY4 (carried over from FY3) were Research Goal 2 (predictability), and Research Goal 3 (productivity). Due to the corona pandemic, presenting Research Goal 2 was not possible. Instead, work was submitted directly to an international journal and has been published in the Journal of Japanese Linguistics as 'Japanese Apophonic Compounds' in April 2021, co-authored with Laurence Labrune, University of Bordeaux. Research Goal 3 has proceeded slowly due to corona, but is not yet at a stage where research can be presented at a conference. The Principal Investigator and the OC have continued to correspond via email and video conferencing.
Current Status of Research Progress	Current Status of Research Progress 3: Progress in research has been slightly delayed. Reason Research Goal has been delayed due to the corona virus pandemic. Funds have been carried over to an extra compensatory year.
Strategy for Future Research Activity	Research Goals 1 and 2 have been completed. Research Goal 3 will proceed as planned in the compensatory extra year.
