Outline of Final Research Achievements

The results of this study can be consisted of three parts: First, a Japanese version of the PCQ was developed and conducted validation studies; second, the relationship between PsyCap and workplace-related factors in organizational behavior in Japan was examined, and, as in studies conducted in other countries, PCQJ was found to be positively related to workplace-related factors by Japanese employees. Finally, data collected in Japan and the U.S. were compared to detect differential item functioning in the scale.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

本研究は日本における研究実績の少ないPsyCapに関し、日本語での尺度開発を通じてPsyCapの概念、および尺度の普及に向けた基盤構築を図るものである。本尺度による測定は、日本人のPsyCapの現状や変化を把握するとともに、海外との比較への可能性を開くものとなる。また今後、この尺度(ツール)の活用が、企業における組織力の強化につながる人的資源管理に資することが期待される。
