Outline of Final Research Achievements

An analysis of how internal quality assurance is implemented at programme level in UK universities was carried out, with a particular focus on the diversity of actors participating in quality assurance. The main object of analysis was primary documents that are publicly available. The research results are: Tanaka, M. Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

本研究成果の学術的意義や社会的意義は、イギリスの大学において，プログラムレベルの自己点検・評価（内部質保証）をどの組織がどのように実施しているのか，および，その質保証の実施を全学レベルでどのように管理しているのかを，いくつかの大学の事例で明らかにしたことである。さらに、プログラムレベルの自己点検・評価（モニタリング・プログラムレビュー）の実施に本格的に着手することになる日本の大学への示唆を提示したことも、本研究成果の学術的意義や社会的意義といえる。
