Outline of Annual Research Achievements

外因性単核球を低酸素低糖刺激(OGD)にて,保護的に極性を変化させ,脳虚血後,後遺症を有するラットに投与したところ,血管新生,神経軸索の進展を確認し,細胞投与21日後(虚血28日後)に,運動感覚機能が有意に改善した.
臨床応用を目指し,閉鎖系でOGD刺激を行えるバックを開発し,その効果をヒト由来の細胞でも検証した.OGD刺激にて,バッグ内の酸素濃度を目的とする1%未満に低下させ,刺激後に末梢血単核球は,刺激前には認めなかった多能性幹細胞マーカーSSEA3陽性単核球が増加することも確認した.また,このバッグで刺激した細胞でも治療効果を認めることを示し,特許出願を行った.
