Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Manufacturing method of dried allogeneic cultured epidermis (dCE) was settled and morphological and mechanical properties, mode of action and safety and efficacy were evaluated. The results elucidated that the membrane structure of dCEs was not disrupted and dCEs maintain their morphological features after dehydrate procedure. dCEs promote wound healing by releasing several growth factors and extracellular matrixes that stimulate the activity of the recipient’s cells at the application site, and the membrane structure of the CE contributes to creating a comfortable environment for recipient cells in the wound bed to proliferate and migrate. Dried CE is a promising material to treat burn wounds and skin ulcers.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
