2021年度は、昨年度に続き、新型コロナウィルスの感染拡大によって、沖縄県外での調査の遂行が困難となった。そのため、沖縄県内において可能な範囲での資料収集を継続するとともに（沖縄県立図書館および県内古書店）、調査結果のまとめと分析の作業を中心的に行った。その結果については、共編著『つながる沖縄近現代史』（ボーダーインク、2021年11月）および共著『戦後沖縄の政治と社会 : 「保守」と「革新」の歴史的位相』（吉田書店、2022年1月）として発刊した。
