Outline of Final Research Achievements

Migrant in modern Japan tend to be perceived as passive beings displaced by nations and regions. This study examined how modern Japanese migrants perceived themselves, and aimed to recapture their subjective aspects.
For this purpose, I focused on the education of migrant training, and examined the image of "migrants" taught there and how migrants accepted and rebelled against it. Specifically, we worked on the following two points. (1) The image of "migrant" that private migrant schools aim to cultivate and acceptance by students. (2) The image of “migrant” that government-run Koto-shogyo-gakko aim to cultivate and acceptance by students.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
