Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We focused on the effect of recomodulin in ANCA associated vasculitis (AAV). Neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) are deeply involved in the pathogenesis of AAV and lead to the vascular injury. We showed that in vitro experiment recomodulin inhibit NETs formation and protect endothelium during vascular injury. Furthermore, rTM ameliorated AAV manifestation in AAV model animal. The treatment of rTM would be novel therapeutic agent in AAV patients.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
