重希土類元素およびインジウムの濃集機構と資源ポテンシャル評価の研究

Research Abstract

風化残留型重希土類鉱化作用の調査をタイおよびマレーシアで実施.タイ南部Takua Pa錫鉱床地域のNok Hook岩体では,花崗岩中の粘土鉱物脈から高い希土類元素含有量(1311-786ppm)を得た.しかし,Haad Som Paen地域,Phato地域においては,顕著な希土類元素の濃集が認められなかった.マレーシアではTaiping, Dindings, Bukit TinggiおよびTampinの4地域について調査を行い,花崗岩類の平均REE含有量は267ppm,風化殻の平均REE含有量は217ppmであり希土類の濃集は確認されなかった.LREE/HREE比の平均値は13で,軽希土に富む.Dindings岩体の一部で風化殻が厚く(厚さ20～30m)比較的高い希土類元素の含有量(最大763-844ppm)が認められた.20年度に調査を行ったインドネシア・バンカ島の花崗岩風化殻の希土類元素の段階抽出実験の結果,硝酸カルシウム約8割という高濃度の希土類元素が測定され,カルシウムイオンが希土類元素とイオン交換していることが示唆された.インジウムの濃集機構と資源評価の研究として,ロシア・カムチャッカ半島の熱水性鉱床およびウラル山脈で塊状硫化物鉱床で調査を実施した.ウラル中南部地域における7鉱床の火山性塊状硫化物鉱床の調査を行い,鉱床の産状の観察と母岩・鉱石の試料採取を行った.その中の6鉱床の試料について,試料の観察とレアメタル等の成分分析を行った.ウラル地域の火山性塊状硫化物鉱床は,鉱床下盤母岩変質がカオリナイトやパイロフィライトで特徴づけられることや鉱石の成分がCuに富み,微量成分もBi,Teで特徴づけられることが明らかになり,鉱化作用の際のマグマ成分の寄与が大きい熱水システムのなかで形成された鉱床群であることが推察された.
