| Research Abstract |
We had a symposium on "Elder Law in the U.S." at the plenary session of the Japanese American Society for Legal Studies and published a serial papers about our research in the U.S. Most members presented papers on legal advocacy and Elder Law at several academic symposiums such as the Japanese Association of Social Security Law, the Japan Adult Guardianship Law Association, and the Association of American Law School (Section on Aging and the Law). Furthermore each members published many articles and books on the concept of 'Autonomy', comparative studies on health care reform and Social Security between the U.S. and Japan, studies on welfare states, and so on.
