Research Abstract |
We confirmed around 70% of reported point of pre-Angkor inscriptions, and according to these field survey, we analyzed collected artifacts. We also conducted measure of rice remains in around 50 fragments of bricks of pre-Angkor to early Angkor temples, and mapping of more than 10 temples. According our analysis, to compare north and southern Cambodia, distribution of varieties of rice, pottery is different. However, we can not draw clear demarcation line between north and south. Then, we may say these sites are historically continuous. These results support past studies of epigraphy, especially continue of kingship history in pre-Angkor and Angkor period, and deference of importance between area in Cambodia.
