Research Abstract

小惑星イトカワの探査データを, 不規則形状小天体の解析のための地理情報システム(GIS)で取り扱い可能なマッピングデータとして整理した, また, 本ソフトウェアを用いて小惑星イトカワ上に存在する衝突地形の抽出を行うとともに, 小惑星上でのクレーター形成過程についての研究を進めた.また, クレーター形成と連動して生じる表層の物質移動と宇宙風化の進行度との関係についての研究も進めた. これらの研究成果をもとに, 小惑星イトカワの進化履歴が明らかになったほか, 小惑星の地質学的プロセスについての理解が進展した.
