電磁浮遊法による高温金属融体の新しい粘性計測手法の開発

Research Abstract

電磁浮遊液滴の表面振動を計測し,高温融体の粘性を詳細に計測できる手法を確立することが本研究の目的である.これまでに微小重力下においてのみ可能であった電磁浮遊法を用いた粘性測定を地上においてもおこなえるように,できるだけ小さな試料(直径1mm程度)を浮遊し任意に液滴振動を生じることができる電磁浮遊技術を確立する必要がある.このため周波数の高い電源(〜1MHz)を採用した電磁浮遊装置を本年度において作成し,直径1.5mmのAgでの溶融浮遊を確認した.浮遊試料を小さくすることで重力による試料変形が抑止され,表面振動周波数の分裂がなくなることを確認した.また,試料をより小さく(Cuでは直径0.8mm以下)にすることで表面振動が励起されなくなることも確認した.この結果,電磁浮遊法においても外部励起で液滴表面振動を任意に励起できることを明らかとした.さらに,微小重力下における電磁浮遊法によるAgCu融体について,酸素分圧のことなる雰囲気下での液滴表面振動の計測をおこなった.この結果,液滴表面振動から粘性を算出する際にも,雰囲気酸素分圧の影響があることを明らかとしう,地上における微小液滴を用いた粘性計測を雰囲気酸素分圧を変えながら系統的に調べる必要があることを示した.
