Research Abstract

チョウ目(鱗翅目)昆虫でのRNA 干渉(RNAi)法の確立を目指し、カイコガ純系系統P50 を用いてRNAi 効果の検証を行った。その結果、性フェロモン産生器官であるフェロモン腺で発現する遺伝子に対して、RNAi は効果的に作用することが確認できた。カイコガ性フェロモン(ボンビコール)産生メカニズムに関与する機能分子の機能解析にRNAi を利用した結果、lipase、Perilipin、FATP を含む新規8 遺伝子がボンビコール産生に関与することが示された。
