| Research Abstract |
細胞の核、細胞質、細胞表面に存在するシャトルタンパク質ヌクレオリンは細胞膜に存在する何らかの足場タンパク質に結合して細胞表面に存在することが示唆された。また、細胞内においても多種類の機能性タンパク質と結合して多様な生理的役割を果たしていることが実験に基づき示唆された。さらに、細胞表面ヌクレオリンの新しい機能として、マクロファージ表面では変性タンパク質や変性リポタンパク質を結合し取込むスカベンジャーレセプターの機能があることが示唆された。また、脳ミクログリアの表面ではマクロファージ同様、アポトーシス初期の細胞を除去するレセプターとしての機能があることが明らかとなった。
