| Research Abstract |
中胚葉或いは神経堤由来細胞を標識できるマウスを用いて、歯胚(歯髄)の間葉細胞の由来を解析し、歯の間葉には神経堤由来細胞と中胚葉由来の2つの間葉細胞が存在することを明らかにした。また、歯に存在する神経堤由来細胞は象牙芽細胞のみならず、骨や軟骨、脂肪細胞への分化能を持つことを明らかにした。神経堤或は中胚葉に由来する細胞を特異的に標識することができるマウス受精卵より胚性幹細胞株を樹立し、これらの胚性幹細胞株からレポーター遺伝子の発現を指標に神経堤に由来する細胞を誘導する系を確立した。
