Research Abstract

歯科治療が生体にストレスを引き起こす過程に関与する脳機能を解明し, その脳機能を薬物療法によって抑制して歯科治療ストレスを軽減する方法について研究を行った.
その結果, ストレスを引き起こす過程に, 青班核や大脳皮質前頭前野といった脳部位のノルアドレナリンやドーパミン神経活動が重要な役割をもつこと, それらの神経活動を抗不安薬であるミダゾラムや, 鎮静薬であるデクスメデトミジンにより抑制できることを見出した.
