| Research Abstract |
近年高齢化社会を迎えて、寝たきり患者の存在は極めて大きな社会問題となっている。寝たきり予防のためには、できるだけ歩行などの運動療法を続けたほうがよいとされている。しかし、心不全や呼吸不全などにより十分な運動をできない患者も多い。われわれは、心不全・呼吸不全・脳卒中など運動療法が困難な患者の下肢に電気刺激を与え、その安全性と筋力増加や運動耐容能の改善についての成果を認めたので報告する。
