| Research Abstract |
It classified into four models (cooperation, competition, an individual, and a rival) of personal correlation, and the measure based on this criterion was constructed. Data collection through interviews for those in whom a rival actually exists was conducted. It was suggested in realization of rival cognition that it is the target of a social comparison and that the friendliness more than fixed is required for realization mutual rival cognition. It was conducted Web investigation for a Japanese student and an American student about a rival's concept. The result of factor analysis, it was suggested by Japanese and Americans that the senses of values over competition differ.
