Research Abstract

惑星系形成の場としての星周円盤の性質を、円盤ダストの空間分布の観点から明らかにするため、8mすばる望遠鏡の中間赤外線観測装置COMICS等を用いた星周円盤ダストの観測を進めた。この結果、いくつかの著しく広がった円盤を発見し、特に大きな広がりを持つ天体の性質を詳しく調べた。10太陽質量星周の円盤1個については、その10-1000AUスケールの構造・フレア構造・温度分布・ダストの性質などを解明した。この円盤は、太陽質量程度の星の周囲の円盤でも期待されるような熱的構造を示す一方で、存在するシリケイトダストの種類は、低質量星周とはかなり異なり、プラズマ等による変性の可能性が示唆される。
