Research Abstract

次世代の磁気記録装置として期待されているナノメーターサイズの磁性ドットを周期的に配列したパターン媒体作製の基盤技術を構築することを目指した.電子線露光と低エネルギーイオンによるエッチングを用いることによって,世界で初めて良好な磁気特性を有する1Tbit/in2相当の磁性ドット規則配列パターンを作製することができた.また,1Tbit/in2以上の記録密度を実現するためのパターン媒体設計指針として,ドット間を磁気的に繋げることによって,熱安定性に優れ,かつ記録しやすい媒体を実現できることを示した.
