Research Abstract

マウスに大腸炎を誘導するCitrobacter rodentiumと癌転移の相関関係について研究を行った。一度C. rodentiumに感染したマウスでは、その後の黒色腫細胞移入による肺への癌転移が有意に抑制された。この抑制作用は、C. rodentiumに対する何らかの抗体が、癌細胞の表面抗原に交差反応をして見られる現象であることを明らかにした。
