Research Abstract

胎盤形成において胎児由来栄養膜細胞の分化と子宮内膜への浸潤は、必須の過程である。栄養膜細胞における微小管制御因子スタスミンの発現をノックダウンすると、分化刺激による絨毛性ゴナドトロピン(hCG)産生が減少し、また、形態学的分化である栄養膜細胞の融合(シンシチウム化)も抑制された。これら細胞にスタスミンを強制発現させるとhCG産生及びシンシチウム化が回復した。さらに、スタスミン発現の抑制により、栄養膜細胞の増殖・浸潤能が低下したことから、胎盤形成に不可欠な栄養膜細胞の増殖、浸潤及び分化をスタスミンが調節することを明らかにした。
