Outline of Annual Research Achievements

In 2019, I have conducted two experiments.
First, a QTL experiment. Second, an omics experiment.
For the first experiment, I have completed the analysis and now preparing for a follow-up experiment.
For the second experiment, I have generated RNA sequencing data and now preparing to analyse this data-set.

Current Status of Research Progress
Current Status of Research Progress

2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.

Reason

Reasons:
The research project was well-designed within the expertise of the supervisor, senior researchers in the team, and the JSPS Research Fellow.
The experiments and analyses were conducted timely according to the schedule.
Technical assistance was available throughout the year.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

For the first experiment, I have analysed the data. In 2020, I will do a follow-up experiment and conclude the study. For the second experiment, I have generated RNA sequencing data. To complete this analysis, I need supervision of an expert and supercomputing facilities.
I have a collaborator at the University of Western Australia, who is an expert in this field and has all the necessary facilities.
This year, I will travel to Australia to work with him for completing this RNA-sequence analysis.
