Outline of Final Research Achievements

This project attempts to highlight important features of multicultural policies by comparing theories and political practices of North American, Western European, Northern European, Eastern European, and Asian countries. It does so by focusing on the new trends in human rights policies, social policies, and border control policies in those multicultural societies over the past decade.

本研究からは、世界の多様な国家が行っている多文化共生政策の普遍的特質と個別的な差異に関して、政治哲学的な手法を活用して明確化すると同時に、それら普遍性や差異が生じた歴史的経緯について、政治史的手法を活用して体系的な知識が獲得できる。同時に、本研究からは、日本社会が今後目指すべき多文化共生政策の方向性に関する知識の獲得も期待できる。
