Outline of Annual Research Achievements

放射線の人体への危険度(リスク)は、放射線の業務従事者や、一般人への被曝の限度の基準となっている。これは主に広島・長崎の疫学調査の結果を用い、ICRPなどで議論され決められている。そして、国内では放射性同位元素等の規制に関する法律に取り入れられている。しかしながら、この原爆被爆者のリスクは、外部被曝だけを考慮したものであり、内部被曝は含まれていない。
そのため、本研究グループは、カザフスタンで原子炉の中性子により生成したMn-56の放射性微粒子を使って、内部被ばくの動物実験を実施した。その結果、ラットの肺では、その影響が20倍以上も大きい事を、世界で初めて発見した。そこで、①新たにSi-31の放射性微粒子を使った動物実験、②大気中の微粒子などの飛散状況の調査、③約30万人のデータベースを使った放射性微粒子を含む内部被曝のリスク評価、等を目的とした研究を開始した。
①では、2020年度からナザルバエフ大学と共同で、アルマティの原子炉を使い、ラットの内部被曝の実験を実施し解析している。②では、研究協力者の大森らとアクス村を訪問し、Raduetを使って小学校や民家約40軒についてラドンの測定を行った。アクス村では、全ての民家で推奨値100Bq/m3のレベルを上回っていた。またこの地域とセメイ市で、大気中の微粒子をエアサンプラーで捕集し、Pb-210, Be-7, Cs-137などを測定した。同時に重金属についても測定した。アクス村には、露天掘りのウラン鉱山、精錬工場、１-２km四方の広大な廃液の貯水池があるので、これらの結果から微粒子の飛散の状況を議論する。③では、現地スタッフがセミパラチンスク核実験場近郊の被ばくした村々を訪れ、聞取り調査を行った。さらに、土壌汚染のデータや核実験当時の線量の実測データを集め、被曝した村18カ所の被曝線量を推定した。今後データベースに入力し解析する。
