Outline of Annual Research Achievements	I completed a manuscript based on the research and submitted a proposal to publish it with Oxford University Press. The manuscript was accepted for publication. After acceptance, I completed and then revised parts of the manuscript upon request from the editors. The revisions were all accepted and the book was published and released in North America and Japan in early 2021 as Africa and the Shaping of International Human Rights. Following this achievement, I submitted a proposal to present my research online at the ISA (International Studies Association) Joint Human Rights Conference 2021 "Human Rights and Foreign Policy" 14-16 June 2021. My proposal was accepted and I am currently working on the paper for the conference.
Current Status of Research Progress	Current Status of Research Progress 1: Research has progressed more than it was originally planned. Reason The Covid restrictions in 2020 resulted in more time available for research and writing due to reductions in commuting time and other activities that usually left lees time for research and writing.
Strategy for Future Research Activity	I have been promoting the book through social media such as Twitter and LinkedIn and will also be presenting research online at the ISA (International Studies Association) Joint Human Rights Conference 2021 "Human Rights and Foreign Policy" 14-16 June 2021.
Causes of Carryover	Due to Covid and inability to travel I was unable to spend all the funds.
