Outline of Annual Research Achievements

重水素ガスを用いたプラズマ実験においては、プラズマの外に出てくる中性子総発生率及び中性子発生分布を計測することで、プラズマ内部の高エネルギー粒子閉じ込め情報及びその時間変化を得ることが出来る。高エネルギー粒子によってアルヴェン固有モードが励起された際に、既設のアルヴェン固有モードの空間分布計測器及び損失高エネルギーイオン束計測器に、中性子計測器を加えることでプラズマ内部に閉じ込められている高エネルギー粒子の輸送の様子を取得する。
本年度は、高エネルギー粒子励起電磁流体力学的不安定性による高エネルギー粒子輸送研究に関する成果で、第28回IAEA核融合エネルギー会議において、"A Comprehensive Study of Energetic Particle Transport Due to Energetic Particle Driven MHD Instabilities in LHD Deuterium Plasmas"と題した口頭発表を行い、Nuclear Fusion誌へ論文を掲載した。また、中磁場強度領域における多数のアルヴェン固有モードによる高エネルギー粒子輸送解析を行い、IAEA高エネルギー粒子閉じ込めに関する技術会合において、"Energetic Ion Transport due to Energetic Particle Continuum Mode in Deuterium LHD Plasmas"と題した口頭発表を行い、Nuclear Fusion誌へ論文投稿を行った。これまで、高エネルギー粒子閉じ込め研究の業績によって、プラズマ・核融合学会 第29回論文賞、プラズマ・核融合学会 第20回産業技術賞、及び2021年度 吉川允二記念核融合エネルギー奨励賞 優秀賞を受賞した。その他、物理学の最前線に関する国際会議において、"Energetic Particle Confinement Study Using Integrated Neutron Diagnostics in the Large Helical Device Deuterium Plasmas"と題した口頭発表などを行った。
