Outline of Final Research Achievements

We’ve improved accuracy of image measurements with about 10 times by using fluorescent spherical markers. This leads to new applications with high-accuracy image measurements.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

研究成果の学術的意義は、画像計測における高精度化と広範囲化の両立にある。通常、高精度化と広範囲化はトレードオフの関係にあり、計測精度を計測範囲で除した「相対精度」の向上は難しい。本研究では、蛍光球体マーカを用いることで画像計測の相対精度の向上に成功した。研究成果の社会的意義は、画像計測の相対精度の向上により、応用分野の拡大を可能としたことである。具体的には、これまで応用が難しかった精密な機械システムの運動計測などがあげられる。
