Outline of Final Research Achievements

Allied disorders of Hirschsprung's disease are functional intestinal failure diseases that sometimes cause fatal complications. This study found decreased enteric ganglion, decreased autonomic motility, and decreased contractility to acetylcholine in JF1/Msf, a mouse model of Hirschsprung's disease analog. It also found that administration of tetrodotoxin, a voltage-dependent Na channel inhibitor, caused the appearance of cyclic contractions.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
