Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
This study has proceeded in the study of the relevant End-of-Life care services and the Discrete Choice Experiment development. Key services have been identified and the DCE content prepared with a shift to focus on Advance Care Planning and Advance Directives. The technical specification of the DCE and the statistical analysis plan have been prepared. Coordination with the collaborators continues despite travel and meeting restrictions from Covid-19 prevention attempts. Coordination with data collection partner has been prepared.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
3: Progress in research has been slightly delayed.
Reason
Coronavirus prevention travel and meeting restrictions within Japan have slowed the meetings with research subjects and collaborators. Online work has successfully replaced much of this.
|
Strategy for Future Research Activity |
This final year of the kakenhi grant will include the data collection at the start of the year. Then the statistical analysis plan will be implemented such that the results shall be ready during the 2021AY. The meeting for interpretation and dissemination of the study results are anticipated to proceed online (Zoom, rather than in-person). We intend to present results this year, but anticipate a delay to academic journal publication beyond this grant period.
|
Causes of Carryover |
There was no in-person travel this fiscal year due to the Coronavirus prevention restrictions. All meetings were held on line or during other University visits. The biggest budget item is administering the online survey which has been delayed from end of FY2020 to the start of FY2021.
