Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study is to train pediatric cancer patient support coordinators who will protect the lives of pediatric cancer patients and survivors. After being diagnosed with pediatric cancer, a long hospital stay begins, and we will provide seamless support from that hospital stay to life after discharge, and even to living independently as a pediatric cancer survivor. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, access to wards and outpatient clinics was restricted, and the interview survey that was originally planned was significantly delayed. We collected information while conducting remote training sessions, and are currently investigating and analyzing it. None of the mothers had much interest in transitional medical care, and they would like to be followed by their current pediatrician even when they become adults, so we would like to consider effective support and transitional support.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
