本科研費を用いて、3件の論文が国際的な学術誌で採用された。ギャンブル症状が多いほど、窃盗などの財産犯が起きやすいことを示した。また、オンライン上でのギャンブル依存症者の自助グループが、自然言語処理及び社会ネットワーク分析の観点からも有用であることを示した。これらはいずれも意義のあることである。
