Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The results of my research revealed that 1) more than 30% of consumers unconditionally resist the application of concentrated liquid fertilizer to fishing grounds, and consumers that understands and accepts the environmental problems of fishing grounds caused by nutrient deficiency are less of 30%. Furthermore, to elucidate the reasons for unconditional resistance to agricultural and fishery products made with concentrated liquid fertilizer, 2) we conducted a quantitative analysis using the IR (Innovation Resistance) theory. We found that consumers have a vague sense of uneasiness toward agricultural and fishery products produced with the new technology (application of concentrated liquid fertilizer on farmland or fishing grounds) and that they are not sure what the raw materials of the concentrated liquid fertilizer come from. The analysis revealed that consumers are anxious about agricultural and fishery products produced by the new technology.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
1980年代から有機性資源廃棄物を有効活用した持続可能な農業が重視されるようになり、バイオマスプラントが全国に建設されてきた。しかしながら、メタン発酵消化液の運搬・散布の負担の大きさから利活用がうまく進まず、稼働率の高いプラントは一部の特殊な地域のみにとどまっていた。そこで、当研究室はメタン発酵消化液を濃縮した肥料(濃縮液肥)を開発し(本科研の成果ではない)、本科研で運搬・散布の負担が軽減された濃縮液肥の農地散布、漁場散布の可能性を検証した。この結果により、農地散布と漁場散布を行うにはある一定程度の抵抗感があるものの、農地散布・漁場散布は十分可能であり社会実装が可能であることを明らかにした。
