Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
A cosmo-electrochemical driven chemical evolution model was newly proposed based on the water/rock differentiation within the parent body of carbonaceous chondrites. The following results were obtained: 1)Through experimental simulation of amino acid decomposition, the effect of aqueous alteration on the chemical evolution was clarified; 2)Dicarboxylate alfa-amino acids tend to decompose to n-omega-amino acids, which well explains the relative enrichment of n-w-amino acids in heavily aqueously altered carbonaceous chondrites and the return samples from asteroid Ryugu; These results were published in peer-reviewed papers (Nat. Comm., 2022 and Sci. Adv., 2023) and reported in academic conferences.
