Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
The 400 surgically-resected, formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) thyroid FTs including 100 Japanese from one single hospital of Japan and 300 Kazakh cases from two hospital of Kazakhstan, were collected in this time. All Japanese cases and Kazakh cases were preliminary evaluated for BRAF, TERT and Ki-67. The coexistence of the two mutations was more strongly associated with high Ki-67 labeling index (>5 and >10%). Age of this patients range from 45 to 84 y.o. (mean age 68.52). In the 2017 new WHO classification was introduced and this classification brought significant changes in TNM grade and staging system of thyroid tumors. Thus, we performing re-classification of all available for our research cases.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
3: Progress in research has been slightly delayed.
Reason
We need perform re-classification of all cases by new WHO (2017) classification. For that we need review all HE staining of cases. Thus, we delay with study results.
|
Strategy for Future Research Activity |
We request HE staining from Hospitals and reviewing them. Only 1/3 of cases are finished with re-classification.
