Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
First, I presented the issues of “Nikkei family in Japan” in three conferences in Japan. As a result, I submitted a book of one chapter regarding the Nikkei Peruvian education problem and one article regarding Nikkei Peruvian family. Second, I had research meetings at Japanese Universities, at Edu-port office in Tokyo and at a Japanese elementary school. Then, I did a field work at Japanese elementary school. I collected videos, pictures and surveys with the approval of the School’s Principal. I also interviewed to the school’s Principal and teachers. As a result, I will answer one question of the research project “What are the main activities that Japanese citizens learn from their school and through the society that contributes to becoming and organized citizen?”. Then, I contacted Latin American Educative Institutions to disseminate the research project. Third, I am currently writing the guidebook to be used in the field work in a Latin American country. I am also planning to do oral presentations about the results in Latin American countries as Peru to answer the question “How do Japanese school activities in Peruvian schools applicate to build an educative bridge between Japan and Peru in a near future?”. In near future, it is necessary to do more field works at elementary schools in Japan.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
3: Progress in research has been slightly delayed.
Reason
As a part of the research plan; I had research meetings in Japan at different educational institutions, oral presentations and a field work at elementary school. All of them in Japan, to cover the question “What are the main activities that Japanese citizens learn from school and through the society that contribute to becoming and organized citizen?”. Then, as a result of oral presentations I published a Newsletter and two papers were submitted. But I could not attend one conference regarding Japanese Education because the program was cancelled to prevent the new coronavirus infection. I also programmed a research trip to Latin American, but it was also cancelled because of the “Emergency Declaration” to prevent the virus. Based on the above, I judged that “A little delay than original research plan”.

Strategy for Future Research Activity |
I am planning to modify the date of the research trip to Latin America after the “Emergency Declaration” finish. The aims of this research trip are to do oral presentations in Latin American countries. I will have two goals for this fiscal year. 1. I will do the research trip to answer the question of the research project “How do Japanese school activities in Peruvian schools applicate to build an educative bridge between Japan and Peru in a near future?”. 2. I will finish the guidebook regarding activities from Japanese schools to be applicated in Peruvian schools. 3. I will continue doing a field work at elementary school. 4. I will publish one chapter and one article (papers are already submitted to reviewers).

Causes of Carryover |
In fiscal year 2019, I was planning to do a research trip to Latin American countries for oral presentations to answer one of the questions of the research project “How do Japanese school activities in Peruvian schools applicate to build an educative bridge between Japan and Peru in a near future ?”. But it was cancelled because of the “Emergency Declaration” to prevent the new coronavirus. Therefore, I am planning to modify the date of the research trip to Latin America after the “Emergency Declaration” finish. Accordingly, I had some presentations, research meetings and field work in Japan. As well as writing some research papers. Currently I have been continue writing the guidebook to be presented in Latin American countries and Japan.
