Outline of Final Research Achievements

To clarify the current situation and issues related to the acceptance of children who need medical care in after-school day services, we conducted a self-administered, anonymous questionnaire survey of managers of facilities in City B.
The survey revealed the current status of crisis management at the facilities, the management system of facilities accepting children who need medical care, and the contribution of nurses to infection control and medical safety measures. The recruitment of nurses remains an issue, suggesting the need to consider support for nurses and measures to secure nurses. The respondents were concerned about crisis management at their facilities regardless of whether children who need medical care were accepted, and the results revealed the need to consult with outside medical professionals.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

近年増加傾向にある医療的ケア児を受け入れる事業所の1つである放課後等デイサービス事業所における危機管理の現状や課題，医療的ケア児を受け入れている事業所の管理体制及び，感染・医療安全対策に看護師が寄与していることを明らかにすることができた．また，外部の医療専門職への相談・連携のニーズ等を踏まえた，地域全体での相談・支援体制の必要性や，看護師への支援の必要性も明らかとなった．本研究の結果は，今後，放課後等デイサービスでの医療的ケア児の安全な受け入れ体制について，現状を踏まえてより一層整備するための方策の一助とできると考える．
