Research Abstract

(1)ナノチューブ励起子の環境効果:ナノチューブの環境効果の研究は一昨年から継続し、多くの実験データを収集比較することで、ナノチューブのまわりの物質による励起子のエネルギー変化を系統的に理解できた。この結果を論文に報告するともに、利用しやすいようにWebページにデータとともに公開した。
(2)グラフェン端のラマン分光:グラフェンはナノチューブと同じ炭素のsp^2構造をもち、ラマン分光でも共通のプログラムで解析できる。グラフェンには、結晶端があり、アームチェア型、ジグザグ型の対称性の高い端が存在する。この端に起因するラマン分光は、偏光依存性やフォノンの選択側があり、これらの結果の理論的な解析とともに、実際にスペクトルを計算し、実験と良い結果を示した。
(3)ナノチューブのコヒーレントフォノン分光:ナノチューブに10fsぐらいの、短いパルスのレーザー光をあてると、フォノンの位相がそろって生成されこれをプローブ光で透過率の時間変化として観測することができる。この位相のそろったフォノンをコヒーレントフォノンと呼び、このフォノンの振幅と位相を計算するプログラムを開発中である。初期の結果として、ナノチューブの直径が振動するフォノンが、直径が大きくなるように振動を開始するものと、小さくなるように振動を開始する2種類があり、立体構造や励起エネルギー依存性に関して知見を得た。
(4)ナノチューブとグラフェンのラマン分光に関する専門書の出版:齋藤は、A.Jorio,G.Dresselhaus、M.S.Dresselhausとともに、Wiley-VCHから、“Rama Spectroscopy in Graphene Related Systems”368頁を出版した.
