Research Abstract |
The purpose of this project is to elucidate the structure of local societies, as well as the ways in which the people organize their practices, by integrating the fieldwork researches and theoretical investigations. In our fieldworks, we made the fullest effort to produce the descriptions and analyses that could overtake the dichotomy such as mind/body or culture/nature, while through our theoretical investigations we succeeded in establish a new paradigm that transcends the dominant theories focusing on representations. Paying our attentions to the embodiment, we threw light onto the cognition and language activities, and revealed local manners of social acts and practices, from a new vantage point.
