Research Abstract

本研究は、非磁性固体表面やその上に形成した非磁性低次元ナノ構造体など、空間反転対称性の破れた系においてスピン軌道相互作用により生じるスピン偏極電子バンドに関する詳細な知見を得ることを目的としている。そのために、
(1)Si表面上にTl、Pb、Bi などの重元素を1ML以下吸着させて形成される一・二次元量子ナノ構造体の原子構造を明らかにし、
(2)新たに立ち上げた高角度分解能・高エネルギー分解能光電子分光装置とスピン・角度分解光電子分光装置を用いて実験的に得られるこれらナノ構造体のスピン偏極電子バンドの分散を
