Research Abstract

1.歴史的建造物由来古材の調査と収集・保存
・歴史的建造物由来古材ならびに京都祇園祭船鉾車輪4体ならびに車軸2体の寄託を受け、保管展示した。後者に関する記事が一般商業誌(4件)に記載された。
2.歴史的建造物由来古材のデータベース構築
・収集した歴史的建造物由来古材のデータベースを追加充実した。
・材形成年代を年輪年代法と放射性炭素同位体法で確定した(ヒノキ材)古材試料について物理的特性、力学特性、化学特性等を調べ、木材の経年変化について考察した。
・熱処理木材の色等材質変化を調べ、古材との比較検討によって経年変化のメカニズムを考察した。同様に、宣紙の経年による色変化とそのメカニズムを考察した。
・研究成果を内外の学会において、論文3件(内1件審査中),研究発表13件を通じて公表した。
3.国際的研究協力ネットワークの構築
・EU諸国における木質科学と文化財保存修復学分野の共同研究COST・IE0601に招かれ、講演等発表を3件、また東アジア文化遺産保存学会においても発表(3件)を行った。
・2011年主催予定の国際学会"Wood Culture and Science, Kyoto 2011"に関して、実行委員会を結成し、Fisrt Circularを作成して広報に努めると共に、文化庁をはじめ関連学会の後援要請を実施した。
