| Research Abstract |
以下の3つの課題を追究する。
(1)サンゴ礁における炭酸システムの時系列観測をおこない、温暖化および酸性化に重要な影響を与える二酸化炭素の季節変動および経年変動の実態を明らかにする。(2)サンゴの飼育実験により、高水温、高二酸化炭素濃度、酸性化が光合成(生物生産)および石灰化(骨格形成)に与える影響を解明する。(3)サンゴ類の骨格形成過程を制御する基質タンパク質の構造と機能に注目して、地球温暖化および海洋酸性化に対するサンゴの応答について分子レベルの解析をおこなう。
