超高温超高圧変成相鉱物の相平衡再現実験と変成プロセスの精密解析

Research Abstract

本研究の目的は，超高温変成相鉱物と超高圧変成相鉱物の相平衡再現実験と野外調査や岩石記載から，極限領域変成プロセスを精密に解析し，大陸地殻形成の物理的化学的条件を明らかにすることであり，以下の研究を行った．
１．東南極リュツオホルム岩体スカルビークスハルゼンの片麻岩からアーマルコライトの仮像を見いだした．低酸素分圧条件で実施した焼き鈍し実験から決定したアーマルコライトの安定化温度は，鉱物化学地質温度計から求めた片麻岩の最高変成温度よりも著しく高温となった．これは，酸素分圧が低下するとアーマルコライトの安定化温度が上昇することによる．
２．高酸素分圧条件でアーマルコライトの安定化温度を調べる予備実験を行った．ヘマタイトバッファーで，アーマルコライトは10 kbar，1000 ℃では出現せず，ルチル＋イルメナイト＋ウルボスピネル三相が安定であった．
３．西オングル島のペグマタイト中の磁鉄鉱巨晶に見いだされる様々な鉱物組み合わせから西オングル島の変成履歴を解析した．
４．変成泥質岩と高マグネシウム安山岩の8 GPaにおける実験結果および3 GPaにおける石英エクロジャイトの実験結果と，先行研究のMORBにおける実験結果とを比較することから，単斜輝石中へのシリカ成分の固溶量が系の石英とコランダムのノルム量に依存する事を明らかにした．
５．セールロンダーネ山域のグラニュライトの詳細な岩石記載，鉱物化学地質温度圧力計およびシュードセクション法から，この地域のグラニュライトが等圧冷却の変成履歴を有することを明らかにした．これらの研究成果の一部は，Geological Society of London Special PublicationやPrecambrian Researchに掲載が決定された．また，成果の一部は国際誌に投稿準備中である．
