Research Abstract |
Data traffic is continuing to grow steadily at the rate of 20 to40% per year even though the world economy remains stagnant. The projected demand traffic reaches Exa-bit/s network throughput. In response to this growing demand traffic, our project proposed the concept of optical frequency synchronous photonic network based on carrier-envelope offset phase (CEP) locked frequency comb. Octave-spanning super-continuum light was achieved by 100fsec pulse-train seeded from laser diode.
