Research Abstract |
In this study, we performed to solve molecular function of CvfB (conserved virulence factor B), which was identified as a virulence regulatory factor using silkworm infection model. CvfB has three S1 RNA binding domain and a Winged-Helix domain revealed by crystal structure at 1.4Å resolution. Moreover, we uncovered the RNA binding activity of CvfB is required for hemolysin production in Staphylococcus aureus.
